What High School do you attend?
Donald A Wilson

Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I’ve grown up in Whitby my entire life with my parents, my two sisters, and our new puppy who we recently got. My sister, Sarah graduated from the University of Guelph to become a Dietitian, and my other sister Megan is at UOIT to become a nurse.

What are your plans after graduation?
I am either going to the University of Waterloo or  the University of Ottawa for Kinesiology and after that will hopefully go to school to become either a chiropractor, a physiotherapist, or an occupational therapist.

What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Butchies & Tucson Wolf

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I love going to Eastern Canada. I’ve been to Price Edward Island twice before and I love it there, and the coast is an incredible place to visit.

What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Stranger Things

If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
I think some advice I’d give to some younger students would be to make the most of your high school experience and make as many memories with your friends as possible. Your time at high school flies by and you should try to make as many life-lasting memories as possible.

If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
Stranger Things, I think living in a different era of what I am living in now would be really fun and also science fiction is a good genre.

If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
Wayne Gretzky is the person I’d go to lunch with, because he is known by everyone as the greatest hockey player ever and I think hearing his stories through his time playing would be very interesting. I’d probably pick Butchies because of how good their food is.

What is your favorite thing about our community?
The people that I grew up with and are still friends to this day, would be my favourite thing about the community.

Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I’m hoping to be in my final year of university, or in my first year of school to become a professional as either a chiropractor, occupational therapist, or physiotherapist.

What is something on your bucket list?
Watch an NHL game at every arena in the league

What is your go to band / singer when you can’t decide what to listen to?
Drake

Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
Favourite month would be December when it really starts snowing and it brings pond hockey which is amazing every year. My favourite holiday is Christmas, since it brings yearly traditions and smiles. My favourite single day of the year is June 25 since that’s the last official day of school before summer.

What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
My favourite meal is a bacon cheese burger so I’d say that’s a 10/10

What is something you want to do as soon as this pandemic is finished?
I miss being able to see my friends whenever I want, so I’d probably go hang out with a bunch of the people I haven’t seen since the start.

Who inspires you to be better?
My parents are the people who push me to be better, and have helped me a ton to become the person I have today. I hope to continue to make them proud through the rest of my life.
