Tim Mandzak

I have been living and working in Whitby for 18 years. Myself and my wife moved here in 2003 and I started my own practice here at Mandzak Chiropractic in 2011. We love Brooklin and Whitby and the community they have become. We have raised our two daughters here who are 12 and 15 and growing up way too fast ! I am an avid fisherman who take every opportunity to be on the water. I’ve been a volunteer soccer coach and loved every minute of it. Also, we put on an ice fishing derby on Lake Simcoe for friends and family which is a lot of fun. I do love spending time with the family when we can all get together!

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My wife Tan, Kiera is 12 and Shaelin is 15

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I really enjoying helping people as cliché as it sounds. I gain great satisfaction from moving someone along in their healing. I still get enjoyment when someone leaves after seeing me saying ‘I feel a little better!’

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
When we lived in North Whitby, I was digging posts for a fence and hit Ashphalt! It was part of Family Cartways. Anyone from around Durham knew about Family Cartways and had found memories of it…the urban crawl had swallowed it and remains were in my backyard!

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Michael Jordan, hands down, any professional Basketball Player would be great but MJ is the GOAT. I’d just have him over to my place for bite and talk hoops!

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
That it is both urban and rural. 5 mins out of Brooklin and it is farm country. 5 mins south and you are into the developed area of Whitby.

A larger more dynamic practice in or close to Downtown Whitby
