Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I am the youngest of 5 siblings and an Aunt to 7 nieces and nephews, so there is never a dull moment! I absolutely love spending time with them and feel so very fortunate to be loved and supported by so many caring individuals.

What are your plans after graduation?
After graduation, I plan to attend the University of Waterloo’s Biomedical Engineering with Co-op program. In this degree, I will learn to apply a variety of engineering concepts to create solutions to healthcare, biology, and medical-related problems. Additionally, I will complete six 4-month co-op placements at companies across the country ranging from start-ups to established organizations where I will gain real-world experience and try out various Biomedical Engineering Disciplines.

What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Personally, I very much enjoy Charley Ronick’s Pub and Rekha’s Indian Kitchen.

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Without a doubt, I would travel to the Yukon Territory to hike King’s Throne Peak in Kluane National Park. I hiked a 60km trail in the summer of 2018 in Kluane Park with my sister, cousins, aunt, and uncle and we were so close to getting to hike King’s Throne however the weather was not in our favour. Nevertheless, I promised myself that when the opportunity arises, I will return to the Yukon to hike the mountain.

What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
I really love the movie Matilda and I’d have to say that my favourite TV show is Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
Even if you don’t know exactly where you are headed in life or what profession you wish to pursue, just keep learning and developing yourself as an individual so that when the day comes that you know what path you wish to take, you are knowledgeable and poses valuable skills that can be applied in a variety of personal and professional settings.

If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
I think that being in the show “Outer Banks” would be so fun and exciting!

If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
I would really love to have lunch with Matt Dajer, Yes Theory Digital Media Brand Co-founder. I highly respect Yes Theory’s values and mentality of seeking discomfort, trying new things, and living your life to the fullest. For this reason, I would meet Matt at Charley Ronick’s Pub for lunch.

What is your favorite thing about our community?
My favourite thing about Whitby would have to be our proximity to the lake since I love swimming and spending time at the beach with friends and family.

Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
In 5 to 10 years, I see myself with a stable job that allows me to travel. I would love to own a conversion van in which I can travel across Canada, hiking and skiing in all the national and provincial parks.

What is something on your bucket list?
One day I’d really really like to walk part of The Great Wall of China

The Beatles

Favourite month is July
Favourite Holiday is Christmas
Best single day on the calendar is either December 25th or July 1st.

What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
Laying outside during summer just looking up at the stars and seeing a shooting star.

What is something you want to do as soon as this pandemic is finished?
Fly to British Columbia and spend a week or two at my family’s cabin with my grandparents and all my aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Who inspires you to be better?
My best friend Melanie Foltak is a constant inspiration for me to be the best version of myself that I can possibly be.
