David Darling

I grew up in Ajax, Ontario and I’ve settled down in Whitby. I was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces for nearly 17 years, and a letter carrier with Canada Post the last 24 years. I have been writing the last five years, and at the end of May 2022, my fifth novel comes out.

I’m married to Natacha and I have one daughter, Catherine (8)

Looking forward to retiring from Canada Post and writing novels full time.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
NYC, for ThrillerFest, a writer/author conference.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Curse of Oak Island.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
Never give up on a goal.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
Pub Crawl starting in Dublin, Ireland and ending up…. Australia? lol who knows.

Q: What is your go to band when you cant decide what to listen to?
Tragically Hip

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
The Dairy Queen on Dundas. As a kid, that was the only one in the area, and we would drive out as a special treat.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
Proximity to anything… big city, to the country.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
retired, 100+ acres, no neighbors and writing.

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
ontario highways north bay area in the fall. all the colors are amazing.

March. St. Patrick’s Day.

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
Myself.

Lilacs and baby powder

For a rest.
